1. Information we collect

• Account data: email address, name and authentication identifiers.
• Profile data: current role, education, experience, target career, learning preferences and availability.
• Skill data: self-reported proficiencies, assessment answers and computed gap scores.
• Documents: resume text and files you upload, plus AI-generated resumes and portfolio content.
• Usage data: pages visited, features used and progress activity used to improve the product.

2. How we use your information

We use your data to operate the service: computing readiness scores, generating roadmaps, analyzing resumes and job descriptions, running interview practice, tracking progress and sending in-app notifications. We do not sell your personal data.

3. AI processing

Some features send relevant portions of your profile, skills, resume text or job descriptions to third-party AI model providers to generate output. Only the content needed for the requested feature is sent. Do not submit information you are not comfortable processing this way.

4. Storage and security

Data is stored in a managed PostgreSQL database with row-level security, so records are readable only by the account that owns them. Uploaded resume files are kept in a private storage bucket scoped to your user ID. Passwords are never stored in plain text.

5. Data retention

We keep your data while your account is active. You can delete individual items (resumes, assessments, roadmaps, saved opportunities) at any time. Ask us to delete your account and we will remove your personal records within 30 days, except where retention is legally required.

6. Your rights

Depending on your location you may have rights to access, correct, export or delete your personal data, and to object to certain processing. Contact us to exercise any of these rights.

7. Cookies and local storage

We use browser storage to keep you signed in and remember interface preferences. We do not use advertising trackers.
